I've had beers with a lot of people on WHO. That doesn't give me the right to say "I know them". That's all I'm trying to say.

"Johnson and Gavros knew each other in real life".
Shared a couple of drinks once and now is acting like his best mate. Wanker.

Re: Gavros

Gavros was first a content poster and second didn’t mind leaving a boot in when the gammons played their usual divvy dirty game. He had a proper solid grounding in macroeconomics and though at times he could be exasperating on say the current account deficit and the value of the pound in the Brexit context, it was always a joy to behold him kicking the braindead populists up in the air on here.
No, bullied he certainly was not.

Its a bit lazy to try and make out both "sides" are as bad as each other here.
Johnson and Gavros knew each other in real life.
Pickled didn't know Gavros, and is talking shit about what he thought about people he knew to try and get a reaction out of them. People who mourned him a year ago. Think about that a sec.
Maybe you can say people shouldn't respond and encourage his bullshit but sometimes a response is needed and that behaviour is a new low, even for here.

Apart from occasionally having a quick read I now avoid this site because of the MINORITY of morons continuously point scoring and taking things too far.
Gavros was a decent bloke. Took stick and gave it as well and I had many a Whomail exchange with him about various things not only football related
Gav was a decent poster and seemed a decent fella who I would happily have had a beer with.
Shame on the usual suspects for carrying out their continuous point scoring and sniping on the one thread where a bit of respect wouldn't go a miss
RIP Gav lad.

I think I think the only thing posted on here that gavros would ever find offensive is the suggestion that he was “bullied”
Gavros enjoyed taking stick and gave as good as he got

Not quite, what we did was threaten him, take screenshots of his posts and went running and squealing to a simp mod, and declared that we were trying to run him off the board. We bullied him anyway possible.
Oh no, that wasn’t us, was it?

One supposes they texted each other calling him Gavliar and other hilarious banter of the kind.
Fact is, when alive, they hated him because he would burst their delusional comfort-zone bubble. At least, unlike that sad rabble, he was properly alive before he passed away.

It's a monumental let down that a (respectful) thread about someone dying tragically too soon has been used by a couple of shallow grief tourist virtue signallers for their own dismal ignorant purposes.

Spot on.
There’s a real life behind this forum which a lot of our more erratic posters don’t realise.
Gavros was fantastically well liked in real life by people who would abuse him as he would abuse them in WHO life.
He was also not always for the things in real life that he championed in WHO life. We all play a role.
There were a lot of people friend or foe on here affected by his untimely passing.
I lamented a good West Ham drinking buddy - if you read our exchanges on you wouldn’t have it would you? We’d have a go in real life too but he shared more misgivings on the stadium than he let on on here. Most of his pro-OS stuff was to wind up Sold0 I’m sure.
Why do you think he offered to work with HU on what he knew and his exposure to the club bullshit with the BOATS?
But for others on here who I won’t name but are friends of mine he was a big big friend of theirs.
So please don’t anyone start using his name as some kind of fallen warrior who they try to attribute emotional prose to.
He was a part of WHO life who left us too early like Piggy and others.
Hatred has marked his death as is appropriate to do so but certain posters seem determined to cross the unwritten line so beat this gets lost and folk bung a fiver to the WHO fund which I am sure charley will thank you for.
